Mission statement: Progressive in attitude yet traditional in practice, Temple Ohabei Shalom is an inclusive Jewish community committed to nurturing, sustaining, and touching Jewish lives through lifelong learning, joyful worship, and repair of the world in word and deed. Guided by the core teaching that all humanity is created b’tzelem Elohim (in the image of God), we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive experience for all. Members and guests alike are cherished as they are and fully embraced by the community. In our infinite variety, we are one community.
We are the oldest congregation in Massachusetts, currently celebrating our 180th anniversary. We continue to inspire connection, growth and friendship with those in our neighborhood, town, and greater community.
We believe that Judaism should be accessible to all. We pride ourselves on including everyone, and have many ways to access our services, building, and community. Please contact us for more details, including accessible entrances and service accommodations.
