Teen Registration 2020-2021

Please use this form to sign up for our TOS Teens programming for 8th - 12th graders for the 2020-2021 year!

We will be offering opportunities that will work to engage your teens in the TOS community as well as the greater Boston community. Our goal is to help your teen grow into the best humans they can be, while using Jewish values at the core.

TOS Teens will meet weekly (remotely) on Thursdays from 4-5pm starting November 5th. The first Thursday of every month starting in December, we will use Moving Traditions curriculum to split up into Rosh Hodesh and Shevet Achim groups.
NOTE : Our first session on November 5th will be in person, masked and socially distanced in our TOS parking lot. All other sessions will be remote.

Your teen can join us every week or just opt in once a month for our Rosh Hodesh and Shevet groups. If your teen would like to be with us weekly, the TOS Teens Programming fee is $500. If your teen would only like to opt into our monthly groups, the fee is $350.

Teens can also attend The Tent, an evening program that connects teens with a diversity of voices to strengthen them as learners, as thinkers, and as young American Jews. The Tent is hosted at Temple Israel on Monday evenings. The teens will choose their classes from a diverse array of options. Classes run from September to May and are offered at $200/trimester or $600/year. If you are interested in attending The Tent, please email Fallon Rubin at frubin@tisrael.org

Please note, the entire form must be completed in order for your responses to be submitted and saved.

Section D: Congregation Community

You may have noticed that at the top of the form we begin with family information. This is intentional. The work of raising and educating Jewish children cannot be done in the school alone, but is a project of the school, the family and the community. You are not just registering your teen(s) for school today, but in fact your entire family. When you come in the building and spend time learning and volunteering with us, you make a powerful statement to your children that Jewish learning is a lifelong process and that we are all on the same team in creating these experiences for them. Don’t underestimate the subtle power of this statement!

In addition to those opportunities to participate we are in need of regular volunteers to make our school work.  Would you consider supporting our school in an ongoing role or a limited engagement?

We recognize that there is much up in the air regarding this coming school year. We thank you for your patience as we navigate this current health crisis. We will continue to update the calendar as we learn more.

NOTE : These are subject to change.
Section E: Financial Information
There are many impediments to Jewish education but finances should never be one.  We ask that every family commits to some financial contribution, however we are very happy to discuss financial aid options for any dues paying family that may require tuition assistance. If you select yes, you will discuss your payment ability in a confidential meeting with the Ansin Religious School Director.
Please contact the Ansin Religious School Director, Amy Deutsch at adeutsch@ohabei.org.
The amount you list above will automatically be added to your total. Thank you so much for your generosity!
