Judaism and the LGBT Community: An Exploration

This course will provide a look at the admonitions against LGBT people in the Torah and other Jewish writings. Sessions will include participants from the Boston LGBTQ community as a whole, the Jewish LGBTQ community, Am Tikva, and Keshet. We will look at Jewish LGBT literature and film. Finally, we will examine how Israel has changed regarding LGBT rights, the founding of the LGBT movement in Israel, Pinkwashing, and Pride in Israel.
