Elul Offerings 2020

Read about all of our offerings available during the month of Elul:

Elul is the month of spiritual preparation leading up to the new year (Rosh Hashanah). It is a month of re-connection and reflection, checking in with ourselves (a process called cheshbon ha-nefesh, an “accounting of the soul”), and reflecting on the past year and our hopes for the new year. We look forward to helping you along this journey by offering new ways of connecting with yourself, with others, with our tradition, and with our community during this month-long lead up to the new year.

Sustaining our Souls: Spiritual Wisdom, Poetry, Music, and Texts for Our Time

Join Rabbi Berkman for this special Elul Edition!

This series will offer an exploration of diverse sources including traditional texts, podcasts, videos, poems and prose, and music, to inspire and strengthen us during this uniquely challenging time.

*This series is inspired by The On Being Project, which for many years has provided a public radio show, podcasts, and “tools for the art of living” which draw upon wisdom of religious leaders, philosophers, and poets among many other sources.

TOS Sisterhood invites all TOS members to attend and participate in our first event of the year entitled “Coping With Uncertainty,” starring Marlene Kenney, MA LICSW
, Senior Clinician, Coordinator Trauma and Loss Counseling Program, Riverside Trauma Center, who will speak first and then open up the floor for questions from the audience.
