Shul-Ins
Our one of a kind shul-ins are known throughout the Northeast. You never know who you are going to meet; Harry Potter, Batman and the Cowardly Lion each help bring the lessons to life.

Shul-Ins 2008-2009
BOSTY (Grades 5 & 6): Friday, December 19 - Saturday, December 20
MOSTY (Grades 3 & 4): Saturday, January 10 - Sunday, January 11
JOSTY (Grades 7 & 8): Saturday, February 7 - Sunday, February 8
TOSTY (Grades 1 & 2): Saturday, April 4 - Sunday, April 5

B'yahad
At Sunday B'Yahad (All Together), students enjoy a half-hour of group activities and class presentations. This special time enriches our children's sense of Jewish spirit and creates a feeling of community throughout the school.

Social Action
We as Jews are charged with a legacy that mandates us to 'pursue justice, seek peace and attain harmony with every one of God's creatures.  We believe that it is the responsibility of our congregation, students and families to translate these and other religious teachings to social action - deeds speaking louder than words which is therefore woven into the fabric of the classroom curriculum.   Ansin Religious School students and families are also asked to participate in a variety of community projects throughout the school year, often working in conjunction with the TOS Social Action Committee. Each Ansin School grade is responsible for completing at least one social action project throughout the year.

Youth Groups
In addition to the academic features of our school, we offer socially oriented Jewish programs and activities such as Shul-ins (overnights), field trips, and a variety of informal educational activities beginning in grade 1. Youth group membership is automatic when you are enrolled in the Ansin Religious School. For more information, contact Kate Mikesh, Director of Informal Education at (617)739-9200.

Makhelah - Youth Choir
Makhelah offers students who love to sing an opportunity to learn and perform both new and traditional music in Hebrew and English.  Cantor Randall Schloss leads the choir in weekly rehearsals and a variety of performances at religious services, concerts, choral festivals, school events, nursing homes and more.  All students (grades 3-7) are encouraged to join.
