Adult Learning

We have seen this light on the faces of schoolchildren running into our Religious School to participate in our innovative “Shul-In” programs, B’nei Mitzvah and Confirmation candidates finding connections to their own lives in sacred texts, families sharing moments of learning, adults entranced by new insights from our tradition. Above all we seek new ideas and new people to learn from and learn with. Our goal is to connect the insights of generations of Jewish teachings with the wisdom of our own age. Here at Temple Ohabei Shalom, wisdom is a lifelong pursuit. We learn through serious engagement in sacred texts, through finding wisdom in all opportunities that life presents.

Learning Mondays

Join us as we continue our path-breaking Learning Mondays programming. The concept is simple: When the High School is in session, we shall often offer opportunities for Adult Study. We look forward to expanding this to include intergenerational learning opportunities as well.

Hebrew Reading Crash Course
This class is designed for you! It is the ideal way to learn how to follow synagogue services, to be more involved in your children's Jewish education, or simply to enhance your own ties to Judaism.

Additional Adult Learning Opportunities
We also offer classes on Sunday mornings and at other times led by Rabbi Saltzman, Cantor Schloss, members of the TOS staff, congregants, and visiting scholars. Please check our website and the Tidings for specific information about classes.
